Join Rotarians from District 5340 for the third annual American flag placement at Miramar National Cemetery. We have 22,000 flags to place at gravesites. Arrive at Noon to park and walk to assigned section (the cemetary is very large and hilly) with flag placement beginning at 12:30 pm on Saturday May 23rd in preparation for Memorial Day. Sign up to place flags WITH OUR CLUB MEMBERS on the Saturday before Memorial Day. Family members including children welcome. Wear your Rotarians at Work Shirt Approximately 400 local volunteers will converge on Miramar Nation Cemetery to respectfully place flags at gravesites. Look for detailed instructions via email the week before the event.
This is a project funded entirely by Rotary and Rotarians. Miramar National Cemetery is providing logistical support assistance with parking and directing volunteers in the cemetery.
