Shade Sail Project (Refuge for Women SoCal)Refuge for Women SoCal Shade Sail Project October 14, 2021 YouTube Video SHAZEEBO Shade Sails We teamed with SHAZEEBO where they donated a shade sail for Refuge for Women at their North County location for the start of a meditation garden. Visit their website www.refugeforwomen.org/socal to learn more about this wonderful organization and how you can help. Without the ability to grow trees in the thin layer of soil over the granite base, a design of large shade sails create a cool and shaded area for relaxing conversation and peaceful rest. The area for the sails is next to a large waterfall feature. With additional ground elements will complete the outdoor project and add a new calming serenity and expanded outdoor living space, all to the benefit of the trauma survivor residents. |

Garden of HopeOur amazing Samantha and Cindy visited to see the progress of the Garden of Hope on July 8th and it looks AMAZING!!! They surveyed the plants that were planted on June 19th to make sure they were thriving and taught a representative of the house how to maintain the garden. They harvested arugula, spinach, radishes and basil for the residents and showed them how to weed and maintain everything. Smaller groups will continue to visit and train the residents with seasonal plantings and maintenance. |

Angle Giving TreeRSF Rotary donates over 355 toys to Solution for Change with the Community's help! The Rancho Santa Fe Rotary club recently dropped off over 350 Holiday toys and 200 stuffed animals for children at Solutions for Change. Solutions for Change is a residential program in Vista currently housing 32 mothers, 4 dads, and 80 children in their program. The program aims to break the homeless cycle with skills, knowledge and resources. The Rotarians had generous support from the community. Rotarians set up an Angel Adoption event at the RSF post office. Hundreds of Angels were displayed on a Christmas Tree and each Angel gave the age and gender of a child. Sponsors from the community "adopted" these Angels at the PO and then turned in their Angels by bringing the appropriate unwrapped gift to the Office of Norma Wiberg at RPM Mortgage next to the RSF Historical Society. The Rotarians also held an Angel Adoption event of their own. This is the RSF Rotary club's fifth year collecting toys for children at Solutions for Change making the Holidays brighter for them and so they feel that the Community cares about them. Angel Giving Tree is the brainchild of Rotarians Norma Wiberg and Heather Manion and through their hard work, more toys were collected this year than ever before. Norma Wiberg stated that, "The Angels flew off the tree and returned with a bounty due to the incredible support of the RSF Community. We want to thank everyone who helped for our most successful Angel Giving Tree ever!" |

RSF Rotary Making A DifferenceRancho Santa Fe Rotary Club provided "The Family Recovery Center" an Easter Party for 42 moms and 48 kids. Everyone had such a great time and every child there had a smile to share with us. So many residents told us how special this was for their children and how much it meant to them that we took the time to make their day so special. These are mothers who have transitioned from awful circumstances and now in Family Recovery Center they have hope for a better life for themselves and their children. As Rotarians we showed them patience, understanding, and love. I know this day will long be remembered by all of them. Thank you to each of you who helped in so many ways from setting up, bringing eggs, cookies, and toys for the kids. They loved the face painting, egg coloring, cookie decorating and egg hunt.
